About Us

Accept Jesus Now Ministries is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization formed in December 2022 and founded by Maurice and Marissa Johnson out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

After running a homeless outreach mission at their church, God revealed that this should be a full-time mission. To God be the glory for all good works performed by moving our hearts and minds to love others as we love ourselves.

Our Mission

Our Mission is to be the hands and feet of Jesus by sharing the Gospel and providing food, clothes and supplies to the Oklahoma City homeless community.

What We Do

We travel to homeless communities in the OKC metro area at least once a month and set up tables with food, clothing, and supplies. We act as a mobile soup kitchen, food pantry and clothing closet.

Prayer and listening are essential aspects of what we do, as many people we meet want to share their stories and have someone to pray for them. In any good work we do, all glory goes to God the Father and his Son: Jesus Christ of Nazareth!

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." - James 1: 17

Our Beliefs

Authority of Scripture:

The Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. This means that the Bible stands as the final authority in all matters of belief and Christian conduct. (2 Timothy 3:15-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21)

God & Creation:

There is one God who has eternally existed in three persons; The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. All three are co-equal and are one God. God created the universe out of nothing, created mankind in His image, and upholds all creation by His power. (Genesis 1:1, Genesis 1:27, Matthew 28:19, John 1:1-2, 10:30)

Identity of Jesus Christ:

We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s only begotten Son. He is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless human life, and was tempted in all points as we are so that He could sympathize with our weaknesses. He offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all mankind by paying the penalty for sin with His life on the cross. He currently sits at the right hand of the Father as our Great High Priest and our Advocate with the Father to continually offer mercy in our time of need. We continue the work as His body here in the flesh until He returns someday to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (John 14:3, John 8:40, 10:33, Acts 2:22, Matthew 1:22-23, Isaiah 7:14, Luke 1:35, Hebrews 4:15, 7:26, 1 Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:9, 1 John 2:1-2)

Salvation:

Salvation is a free gift from God out of His abundant mercy and grace. Everyone is guilty of sin, no matter how good we try to be. The penalty for sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through His Son, Jesus. The Bible tells us there is no other name for salvation in Heaven by which we are to be saved than Jesus Christ. You are saved by genuinely repenting for your sins, asking Jesus to forgive you, and trusting him to save you. We receive salvation through repentance and trusting in Jesus Christ alone! Repentance means we consciously turn away from our sin and toward Jesus Christ. Trust means having faith that Christ paid the penalty for our sins on the cross. When we place our faith and trust in Jesus Christ, His perfect obedience is credited to us so that God sees us as the righteousness of Christ. Every person truly saved is eternally secure in the Lord Jesus Christ and will spend eternity in Heaven, while those who die in their sins will spend eternity in Hell. (Acts 16:31, Isaiah 55:7, Romans 6:23, Romans 3:23, Ecclesiastes 7:20, 1 John 1:8, Ephesians 2:8, Acts 4:12)

The name "Accept Jesus Now" is a call to action. It is a reminder that the time for salvation is now and that we should not wait until tomorrow to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

The Bible tells us:

• God created us in His image, but sin separated us from Him.

• We are all guilty of sin, which leads to death. (Romans 3:23, 6:23)

• God sent His only Son: Jesus Christ, to save us from the punishment of sin (hell). (John 3:16, Romans 5:9), (1 John 2:2)

• Once we die, we face judgment, and nobody knows when Jesus will return to judge all sin aside from the Father (Hebrews 9:27), (Matthew 24:36), (John 5:22)

• Today is the day of salvation, don't wait (2 Corinthians 6:2).

Throughout scripture, Jesus told his disciples that his return must be anticipated with a sense of urgency. We believe that our ministry should reflect this sense of urgency and the importance of accepting Jesus Christ before it is too late. Accept Jesus Now is not only a call to action for non-believers but also a reminder to Christians that we should continuously renew our faith and commitment to God. We are not guaranteed tomorrow, and we should strive to be fruitful for His kingdom.
